Congratulations to Bryan Glass of Normal and Abigail Stiles of Savoy, the men's and women's winners of the 2008 Lincoln Memorial Half Marathon. Glass ran the course in a time of 1:09:49, four seconds from his half marathon PR. Stiles ran the course in a time of 1:22:50.
With over 900 registrants, the Lincoln Memorial Half Marathon experienced a record crowd this year. Thank you to all the runners, volunteers and race director Tim Butler who made this year's event a great success!
2009 LM Registration is now open!
Saturday, April 4, 2009 is the date of the 45th Lincoln Memorial Half Marathon. Don’t miss this special event as we celebrate the National Bicentennial of Lincoln’s birth. All 2009 participants who register online here by 11:59 p.m. on May 31, 2008, will receive the Springfield Road Runners Club discount rate of $30 (with no added fee for online registration). Non-club member fees will rise after June 1. Registration for the 2009 Lincoln Memorial Half Marathon will be capped at 2009 participants, so register early!

Smile, you're on...Fotojack!
Fotojack to photograph participants of 2008 Lincoln Memorial! Fotojack, which specializes in photographing the participants and images of active events, will have photographers on hand for the 2008 Lincoln Memorial Half Marathon. Fotojack will be on the race course to catch runners in action as they run the historic streets of Springfield. In the days following the race, Fotojack will sort the pictures and make them available to participants through a Lincoln Memorial page on their website. Watch for an e-mail after the race alerting participants that their photos are available for viewing.
Athleticare to provide medical support for LM!
Athleticare, the sports medicine and performance group of St. John's Hospital, will be organizing the medical support for the 2008 Lincoln Memorial Half Marathon. Doctors Diane Hillard-Sembell and Brett Western, the co-directors of Athleticare, are the Medical Directors for the Lincoln Memorial.
A team of Athleticare trainers and physical therapists, along with other St. John's medical personnel, will be on course and at the finish line of the LM to assist any runners who may need medical attention.
